Seismic Methods

Seismic Methods

In mining exploration, seismic methods are used a little less, although Geosig, thanks to its geophysical partner Geophysics GPR, offers a full range of services in this field such as seismic refraction, seismic reflection (shallow depth 100 to 300m), MASW and MASW2D, TISAR and many more. Commonly used to measure the thickness of unconsolidated deposits, seismic data is also used to identify areas of fractures or even weakness thanks to impedance contrasts both in deposits and in retention ponds, tailings facilities and dams. Seismic refraction is also commonly used for searching for water.
