Electromagnetism

There are many electromagnetic methods, but they fall into two main groups, EM techniques in the time domain (TDEM) and EM techniques in the frequency domain. In both cases, a current is induced in the ground. For TDEM methods, eddy currents are measured during the “off” period, while in the frequency domain, the phase changes are measured. These techniques are beneficial for searching for massive sulphides such as copper or nickel deposits, but any conductive substance can generate a response.
